|Spencertown Academy Roots & Shoots Streams will broadcast The Magdalens Unplugged, performing live on the Spencertown stage, via YouTube on Saturday, March 13 at 7:30pm. The Magdalens Unplugged is an alt-folk-rock band comprised of Renée DaVink (lead singer and songwriter), Britany Orlebeke (violin), and John Caplis (guitar). Based in Albany, New York, the band plays both original songs and covers a unique blend of Americana, post-punk, and indie classics. The performance is free (though tips are welcome via a virtual tip jar) and advance registration is not required. A link to the concert will be posted on www.spencertownacademy.org.|

About the Performers:
E’lissa Jones is a head-turning Hudson Valley-based vocalist, prolific songwriter, violinist, pianist, and guitarist.
Open Book's original music features melody invention and vocal harmonies backed by a tapestry of interweaving guitars.
Kurt Henry is an accomplished, tone-conscious, low-volume/high-energy electric guitarist and a singer/songwriter with a knack for smart lyrics that splash on impact and circle out.
Terri & Steve Massardo founded the famous John St. Jam; they're lovely
Acoustic guitarist/vocalist Marji Zintz is a gifted, soulful performer of a hybrid of contemporary folk, rock and jazz using a 'sublime,' 'angelic' and 'beautiful voice' to draw the listener in.

Born into the legendary Black Family, Aoife is steadily rising to the top of the traditional and folk music scene, and has long enjoyed success as an established artist in her own right. Fragile and ethereal one minute and strong and vibrant the next, her dynamic and profound vocals explore the emotional depths of her lyrics, leaving the audience entranced. Her latest album 'Homebird' was recorded between Dublin and Nashville and Produced by Ron Block ( Alison Krauss and Union Station).
